    Take some time to look at our website. We have provided plenty of information here to introduce you to the concept of custom shutters. Then, we suggest that you visit the Perfect Fit Showroom. Located in the heart of Montgomery County Maryland, it is the largest showroom of its kind in the Washington DC Metro area. You will not only see both interior and exterior shutters on LIFE size openings, but you’ll see, firsthand, the quality and detail of our work. The showroom is attached to the factory where all our shutters are made.  We also have competitor’s panels in our showroom so you can compare side by side shutters from other companies to our shutters.  We are that confident in our work.

    How-To Tips

    1. Understand that there are significant quality differences in shutter materials, finishes and overall construction. Differences between shutters can be critical to the outcome of your shutter installation
    2. Learn which material is needed for your situation. For example, wood shutters with higher construction values are ideal for large, wide panels. Thermalite is best where water or steam is a concern.
    3. Value is often significantly better through direct manufacturers specializing in shutters. Many are open to the public and are less likely to give biased advice.
    4. If you live in an area without direct manufacturers, search out companies carrying a wide range of lines rather than “all-in-one” or “big box” retailers with limited or low-end selections.
    5. When used correctly, shutters can be an effective tool to help reduce energy cost, but there is little difference in efficiency between wood and synthetics, despite claims by sellers.
    6. Avoid companies that subcontract installation. The quality of the entire job is dependent on the quality of the install and the person doing the measuring.
