Exterior Shutter Materials and Colors

Materials

Perfect Fit uses Western Red Cedar from British Columbia, Canada. Western Red Cedar is renowned for its naturally-occurring resistance to moisture, decay and insect damage. Its appearance, natural durability, and dimensional stability make Western Red Cedar ideal for exterior shutters. The wood shapes, planes, sands, nails and glues well. It is free of pitch and resin and makes an excellent base for a wide range of finishes.

Architectural Collection uses Fiberglass Stiles and Louvers which are made from marine-grade fiberglass and are impervious to the elements. This is the same material used in luxury yachts and racing boats. The rails are made from structural grade PVC allowing for customization of rail sizes. Panel inserts are solid composite wood that are moisture, rot and termite resistant. Architectural Collection shutters are backed with a limited lifetime structural and finish warranty against cracking, splitting, rotting, bending, peeling and flaking.

Classic Collection uses Xtira Wood Composite which is a treated wood composite panel product for non-structural applications for exterior environments. It is moisture, rot, and termite resistant. Classic Collection shutters are backed with a limited lifetime structural and finish warranty against cracking, splitting, rotting, peeling and flaking.
